Description

Dri Duck’s description: Originally worn as protection in hot, humid climates, Booney caps are among the ranks of essential outdoor headwear because of their ability to wick sweat, breathe, and shield from relentless sunlight. Our take on this classic is constructed from waxy canvas and outfitted with brass mesh eyelets in the crown for additional ventilation and a moisture wicking sweatband.

Chukar Culture’s description: This hat will save your life. When humping it up those long chukar climbs, it’ll keep the sun off of your ears, which might not sound like a big deal, but it really is because your ears are like swamp coolers for your thermoregulatory system, and you don’t want them overheating and sending your whole system into shock unnecessarily, which would most likely be fatal in chukar country. This hat’s big brim will keep your body’s heat real, and your life alive. Ooh! But you can also snap that big brim up if you’re going for that Raiders of the Lost Ark look. The brass eyelets and wicking liner band, along with the waxy canvas finish and pliable cotton construction make this hat as snazzy as you want it to be. If you don’t give a crap about snazziness, it’ll just plain work for you however you want it to. I’m prone to keratoses on my ears, and this hat will give me some peace of mind about those nasty things. Maybe a little spendy, but you’re worth it. And if you think I look stupid in it, you might be right but that doesn’t mean you will. I can pretty much guarantee you won’t.
